Holiday format flips to celebrate Thanksgiving and Black Friday
The Thanksgiving holiday weekend brings a number of new holiday format flips, including "Sunny" KODA in Houston, and two in upstate New York: Utica’s “Lite 98.7’ WLZW, and Albany’s WROW (590), which both made the change on Saturday. San Francisco's Classical 102.1 KDFC flipped on Black Friday, along with Orlando non-commercial WPOZ “Z88.3”, to coincide with the holiday shopping frenzy, along with dozens of other stations. Other flips include Entercom’s “98 Mix” WKTK, Ocala, FL; Oldies WMVL “Cool 101.7” Erie, PA; WYKZ “98.7 the River” Savannah, GA; WMXS “Mix 103” Montgomery, AL; and in Myrtle Beach, both WMYB “Star 92.1” and WYEZ “Movin’ 94.5." Check out Radio-Info.com’s growing list of holiday music format flips, informed in part by Nielsen BDSradio holiday alerts, here:
