Howard Stern show reporter Steve Langford has left – headed to Merlin?
Steve Langford has been part of Stern's Sirius Satellite Radio content since 2006, and now the Examiner's Liz Brown hears that he's left. His brother David Langford announced the news via Twitter, saying he's "off to new radio venture in New York." David says Steve "quit [the] Howard Stern show, something that doesn't happen very often." The New York Board of Radio-Info.com quickly suggests that Steve may be the latest hire at Merlin Media's new format at WRXP (101.9). So far, 101.9 continues playing AC music, in what is likely a stunt ahead of the eventual talk-based format to debut in August.
