Imus is off in Boston, as talk WTKK (96.9) revamps
Greater Media says the "Jim & Margery Show" will push back from its current 7am start time to 6am, and Phil Hendrie will be heard up until 6am. That eases out Don Imus from his current 5-7am slot, as of Thursday (Jan. 13). WTKK programmer Grace Blazer says Jim Braude and Margery Eagan are the only male-female talk team in Boston radio, and "the real deal." She says "their smart, lively and witty program is in big demand by both listeners and advertisers." WTKK moved Jim & Margery into the 7-10am slot in October 2009, pushing back Imus. The station had brought Imus back to the air in Boston in December 2007, eight months after the "nappy headed hos" controversy. The Boston Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the I-Man, here.
