Indiana Hoosiers basketball announcer Todd Leary arrested on fraud charges
He was a former IU guard who has been their radio reporter for the past nine seasons. Todd Leary was arrested an hour prior to Indiana University’s game against Purdue and charged with 18 felony counts of fraud in connection with a real estate scheme. The charges include conspiracy to commit conversion or misappropriation of title insurance escrow funds, and conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to corrupt business influence. Leary, who was a part of Indiana’s 1992 Final Four team, will face a judge on Friday in Allen County, Indiana. He could get up to four years in prison on each count if convicted.
