Is a syndicated TV show in store for Bubba the Love Sponge?

It appears Tribune Broadcating is looking to get back into syndicated TV talk, and as Radio-Info reported on Wednesday, they already have plans for a pilot hosted by Cincinnati’s WLW-AM (700) host Bill Cunningham. Vocalo.org’s Robert Feder reports that Tampa-based Bubba the Love Sponge is also going to be spending time in Chicago sometime in June, taping pilot episodes. Bubba (Todd Clem) is also heard on Surius XM’s Howard 101 channel. Feder says WGN-TV VP/operations Steve Farber sent a memo to staffers, saying “we are planning on shooting several pilot shows for a talk show concept at WGN. It’s part of our continuing effort to find new ways to create interesting television. The pilots will be taped over two weekends in June (June 12-13, June 19-20) and will include a live audience.” It was also rumored that Mancow Muller may also be in the mix for a show taping, but according to Feder, “he’s under consideration for a role with news/talk WGN-AM (720).”
