It's "True Oldies" to "106.1 The Ticket" for Cumulus-New Orleans
Shortly after Cumulus Senior VP Mike McVay tweeted about an unnamed major market music station going all-sports, there appeared a new “Ticket” in New Orleans. “True Oldies 106.1” WMTI, Picayune, Mississippi went away at midnight Sunday night. It final two songs were Donna Summer’s “Last Dance” and Arlo Guthrie’s “City of New Orleans.” The new Ticket is affiliated with Fox Sports Radio, and had just recently acquired the rights to the NBA New Orleans Hornets and agreed to carry the afternoon "Sports Buzz" talk show. The Louisiana Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the development, here.
