Jack Mortenson sells his second Dallas AM this week: Spanish Christian KTNO/1440
Earlier this week, Mortenson Broadcasting sold brokered-ethnic KRVA-AM (1600) to Charles S. Kim for $1.4 million cash. Today there's a deal for "Radio Esperanza" KTNO at 1440, licensed to University Park, Texas. KTNO's authorized power is 50,000 watts daytime and 350 watts at night. The sale to Salem Communications' "Inspiration Media of Texas" is worth $2.2 million, and it includes a translator at 102.5, K273BJ, Dallas. Salem's Dallas radio interests include contemporary Christian KLTY (94.9), Christian teaching "Word FM" KWRD-FM (100.7) and conservative talk KSKY (660). Salem also supplies programming to business talk KVCE (1160) through an LMA.
