Jacksonville CHR WAPE-FM names Kobe Fargo as its new PD
WAPE (95.1) in Jacksonville found their new PD in the adjoining state, luring Athens, Georgia's WPUP-FM "Power" (100.1) & WGMG "Magic" (102.1) PD Kobe Fargo over the border to WAPE. Fargo will also take over afternoon drive duties. WAPE OM Todd Shannon says, "Kobe's programming and social media skills put him at the top of the list of candidates to lead the legendary 'Big Ape.'" Fargo replaces Tim Clarke, who was sent by parent company Cox Radio to CHR WPOI "Hot" (101.5) in Tampa.
