Jim Ladd will get his farewell on KFI-AM (640)
Jim Ladd was one of the big cuts made by Cumulus Media in Los Angeles last week, when the longtime DJ was cut from rock KLOS-FM (95.5). Ladd was not able to say goodbye to his fans, but ironically he will get that opportunity from Clear Channel's talk KFI-AM (640). It was Clear Channel who cut hundreds of jobs during the same week Cumulus cut jobs in many of their markets. Ladd announced on his Facebook page he will be subbing for talk host Lisa Ann Walter on Saturday, November 5 from 4pm-7pm. Fans of Ladd have been speaking out on his Facebook page here. The Orange County Register's Gary Lycan says Ladd appeared on Walter's show this past weekend, to promote the November 5 gig. Read more from the Register here. The Los Angeles Board of Radio-Info.com takes up the the topic of Ladd and Cumulus here.
