Joe Scarborough Tweets that he's returning to radio "soon"
The news from former syndicated radio talk host and TV talker Joe Scarborough came from Twitter, in response to a Tweet from a reader during a discussion about the proposed Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center near New York’s World Trade Center site. Scarborough Tweeted, “We are going to be on WABC radio airwaves soon. Mika and I are very excited! More details to come.” Citadel-owned WABC-AM (770) was the flagship station for Scarborough’s show with Mika Brzezinski. The show unexpectedly went on hiatus in April, as Citadel released a statement on April 26 saying the show would return, and would be expanded to three hours. At that time, four months ago, Citadel Chairman Farid Suleman said, “We look forward to Joe and Mika developing this new program, which we are confident will have a significant impact on Talk radio.”
