John & Ken are out – bumped for John Gibson on Bay Area's KNEW
Last year, the syndicated Michael Savage lost his hometown station when KNEW-AM (910) dropped his show, and he was replaced by L.A.-based John & Ken (John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou). Now, John & Ken have been shown the door. Over the holiday weekend, the duo were replaced by the syndicated Fox News talker John Gibson in afternoon drive, sandwiched in between Glenn Beck and an extra taped hour of Beck. John & Ken’s show originates on Clear Channel sister-station KFI-AM (640) in Los Angeles. In recent years, the station has placed and then replaced syndicated hosts including Laura Ingraham, Roger Hedgecock, Lou Dobbs, Dennis Miller and Bill O'Reilly.
