John Sebastian begins "pure oldies" stunting at Madison's country Q106
John tells Madison.com that “tomorrow we won’t play any of the same songs we play today.” Mid-West Family imported veteran major-market programmer and consultant Sebastian to shake up things at its country Q106 simulcast of WWQM, Middleton (106.3) and WWQN, Mt. Horeb at 106.7. It has fallen from a 6.0 12+ AQH share in the Summer book to a 3.5 in the most recent Winter book. It’s currently in 10th place. While Clear Channel’s "Star Country 96.3” WMAD-FM has held 4.8 to 4.7 to 4.8 and is in fourth place. As for the unannounced stunting that has Q106 doing oldies today, Sebastian tells Madison.com “This is the entertainment business, and we’re doing some entertaining today.”
