Josh Strickland becomes a PD of Saga in Asheville, NC
Strickland comes over to Saga Communications in North Carolina from Citadel, where he was PD of WFMK-FM (99.1) & WJIM-FM (97.5) in Lansing, Michigan and WHTS-FM (105.3) in Grand Rapids. Strickland now becomes PD of Saga's WOXL-FM "Mix" (96.5) & its adult alternative "98.1 The River", an FM translator fed by WOXL's HD2 signal. Saga General Manager Bob Bolak says, “Josh really fit the profile of the programming leader we were looking for with his track record of community involvement and creating vibrant local radio.” Strickland officially begins next week.
