Journal Broadcast Group recruits three financial analysts to work with stations
In a switch from the centralized model, each one will be posted at one of the Journal clusters, responsible for two or three markets. Milwaukee-based Journal says they will do “profit planning, forecasting and providing financial support to their assigned markets with the goal of driving operating earnings.” Scot Stokes will be based in Las Vegas and work with the Journal assets in Palm Springs and Vegas. Stacy Schmidt will work out of Wichita and deal with that market plus Springfield, MO and Tulsa. Guillermo Greig will work in Ft. Myers and handle that market plus Knoxville. All bring MBAs and business experience from outside of radio and TV to their new jobs.
