Journal radio and TV selects Hipcricket for mobile marketing
The deal makes Hipcricket the exclusive mobile marketing provider for Milwaukee-based Journal Broadcast Group, covering 33 radio stations and 13 television stations in 12 markets. Hipcricket has run over 50,000 mobile marketing campaigns for brands including HBO, Coca Cola and Staples, along with hundreds of radio and television stations in the US. Journal Broadcast Group EVP of TV & radio operations Steve Wexler says, “it’s truly changed the way we communicate with our audience, one that can be easily measured to ensure the successful use of our marketing dollars and those of our advertisers.” Milwaukee’s flagship WTMJ-AM (620) already uses Hipcricket for their 18,000 audience-member School Closure Alerts program, sending out text & e-mail alerts when schools close due to bad weather.
