JR Ammons heads to program Indy's WZPL
Entercom Indianapolis brings in JR Ammons as PD of Hot AC WZPL (99.5). Ammons, last PD at Atlanta’s WSTR “Star 94”, will start his new job on November 15. Over the course of his 21-plus years in radio, he's served as director of programming at WAPE “The Big Ape” Jacksonville, Florida, and KMXV “Mix 93.3” in Kansas City, as well as been APD, MD and on air, at stations across the country. He replaces Scott Sands, who exited WZPL in early September.
