KFI, Los Angeles talker Bill Handel has "textbook-perfect" open heart surgery
KFI program director Robin Bertolucci received a call late Friday morning from Handel's wife, saying his hastily-scheduled surgery to replace an aortic valve had proceeded faster than expected and was "textbook-perfect." The Orange County Register reports an email from Bertolucci saying that "knowing Bill, he'll be back very, very soon...that guy doesn't stay still for long." Handel announced the impending surgery on Thursday morning's drivetime show and said "don't wish me luck. Wish the surgeon luck."
