KFWB Los Angeles adds local news show; KFI night changes

CBS Radio’s News/Talk KFWB (980) Los Angeles will add a three-hour block of live local news, daily from 4 – 7pm. The show is hosted by Maggie McKay and Michael Shappee, starting today. The news block replaces the syndicated talk show hosted by Roger Hedgecock. In addition, the station extends the syndicated Dr. Laura show with a “best of” additional hour, so she’s heard now from noon – 4 pm. In other Los Angeles tak radio news – at rival KFI (640), market vet Tim Conway Jr., gets the 7 – 10 pm slot replacing Bryan Suits, who is headed back to Seattle where he previously worked for KVI. Conway starts January 18.
