KFWB, Los Angeles reveals its post-Dr. Laura lineup
News/talk KFWB (980) goes with more advice, after Dr. Laura Schlessinger ends her run on terrestrial radio December 31 and is no longer available for the noon-4pm slot in L.A. The weekday change starts after the morning drive news block, with Bob McCormick of sister KNX (1070) creating a 9-11am show named "Money 101." Then comes Dave Ramsey, who will now be
clearing his show live, moving up from 9am to noon to 11am to 2pm. Ramsey will be
followed by life coach Les Brown, 2-4pm, showing listeners “how to shake
off mediocrity and live up to their greatness”, says KFWB. Then there's
the afternoon news block. Don
Barrett’s LARadio.com got the news out Thursday about the 2011 plans
for KFWB, which had built its daytime schedule around Dr. Laura, only to watch her announce her intention to leave terrestrial radio after the August N-word controversy. The Orange County Register has more about the 2011 KFWB schedule here.
