Kidd Chris is heading to Atlanta's "Project 9-6-1" for mornings
"Kidd" Chris Foley announced the news on the Howard Stern show this morning, says the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Rodney Ho. Foley is a regular contributor to the Stern show on Sirius. He's worked in Wichita, Sacramento, San Antonio, Philadelphia (on CBS Radio's WYSP-FM at 94.1),
and most recently Portland,
Oregon rocker KUFO-FM. He was dropped there in March, when the Alpha Broadcasting station became part of a news/talk simulcast with KXL-AM (750). It was late last week that Atlanta's alternative WKLS-FM "Project 9-6-1" parted ways with morning show co-hosts Shaffee & Klinger. There have been other recent signs that "Project" programmer Chris Williams was hiring Foley. The Kidd Chris website now directs you to the WKLS-FM IHeartRadio listen-live page. A number of posts on his Facebook page have followers congratulating him on "Atlanta," and specifically mention WKLS. The Atlanta Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the market's newest morning show here.
