Kix Brooks, country superstar/radio countdown host, is going out on the road
Just as he’s concluding his 20-year partnership with Ronnie Dunn (as Brooks & Dunn) with the windup of their “Last Rodeo Tour” in Nashville, Kix will be more available to radio syndicator Citadel Media. He’s agreed to originate his weekly American Country Countdown from an affiliate station at least once a month. Brooks also will be fronting and hosting a new “American County Countdown Concert Series.“ In 2011, the multi-artist show will visit Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Seattle and San Diego. Last year Kix won the CMA’s National Radio personality award, the first time the CMA trophy in that category had been won by an artist.
