KJTZ Abilene Tries Out ‘Tejano Country’
Tejano station KJTZ (106.9) Abilene, Texas, will flip on Friday, January 29 to a mix of Tejano and English-language country music. Last Spring, the station began been mixing its Tejano music base with regional Mexican. Now it will see if country music is more compatible, trying to accommodate the tastes of listeners who have been exposed to Anglo country tunes.
