KORC in Waldport Oregon is dark, after a sale offer fails to come
KORC owner Larry Profitt is disappointed by the failure of a short-term LMA by Georgia Triangle Broadcasting to lead to a purchase. Profitt put KORC (820) up for sale in 2008 with an asking price of $285,000. He’s been dropping the price and was on the verge of taking it dark when he got the LMA offer from Georgia Triangle’s Steven Blood. Blood is better known as Woody Nelson, and he put his Rocket Radio Network format on KORC. But the South Lincoln County News reports that the LMA with Blood that began on April 1 ended on May 16, and “no offer to purchase was forthcoming.” Blood says a consultant wasn’t happy with the equipment. So the station’s dark – and listed for sale again, this time with a local real estate firm.
