Kris Olinger, Clear Channel's AM programming chief in Denver, is leaving

Market Manager Lee Larsen says Kris “served as a newsperson, news director, news director, on-air talent, program director and ops manager” and says “her efforts contributed mightily to the numerous awards the stations have won and the strong ratings” they’ve pulled at the cluster. That includes news/talk KOA (850), talk KHOW (630) and progressive talk KKZN (760). Larsen says “the last year or so has been difficult for Kris personally, with the loss of her father followed by a major illness that affects her mother.” Olinger has spent most of her career since the 1980s at the Denver cluster, except for three years in Seattle.
