KYOT-FM (95.5) in Phoenix imports Tim Richards as PD
Tim Richards stays with Clear Channel and in Arizona, but moves up the highway from Tucson where he was Operations Manager of Clear Channel Radio and Online, and will take over as PD of KYOT-FM (95.5) as well as be the director of the syndicated Johnjay and Rich Show. Clear Channel Phoenix OM Smokey Rivers says, "Tim has been a mentor, Program Director and confidante to Johnjay and Rich for a decade. The show blossomed under his leadership in Tucson. He played a large part in the development of the network as it exists today." Richards has a history with Clear Channel, including time as Operations Manager for the Clear Channel cluster in Tucson and Regional VP Programming of Clear Channel Radio. He has also held PD duties with Clear Channel's WKQI-FM (95.5) in Detroit and Tucson's KRQQ-FM (93.7), along with Chicago's WKQX-FM (101.1).
