L.A. PPMs for May show CHR KIIS-FM up – but so is new rival "Amp 97.1"
CBS challenger “Amp 97.1” KLSX has moved 3.2-3.7-3.9 (age 6+ AQH share) for March-April-May. While #1 KIIS-FM, owned by Clear Channel, shows a three-month line of 5.2-4.9-5.3. “Amp” is now in a group of stations tied in fourth place at 3.9, along with Spanish AC KLVE and soft AC KOST. Meanwhile, California’s crisis economy is probably doing good things for talk KFI – 4.5-4.5-4.9, and a solid #2. See all the just-released May PPMs for New York, L.A., Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Philadelphia, Nassau-Suffolk, Riverside, San Jose and Middlesex, at Radio-Info’s Ratings Page, here. The Los Angeles Board of Radio-Info has some first thoughts, here.
