Lance Armstrong calls Tony Kornheiser a "F$%&ing Idiot" over his "run down cyclists" remarks
The 7-time Tour de France winner used his Twitter page to blat comments made by Tony Kornheiser on Washington’s WTEM-AM (980). Kornheiser said on the air, “They are the same disgusting poseurs that in the middle of a snowstorm come out with cross-country skiing on your block. Run ‘em down.” He added, “Why do these people think that these roads were built for bicycles? … They dare you to run them down.” Armstrong wasted no time to reply to Kornheiser’s comments, posting on his Twitter page, “Listening to Tony Kornheiser’s comments/rant on ESPN radio re: cyclists. Disgusting, ignorant, foolish. What a complete f-ing idiot.,” and followed that up with “Tony Kornheiser on cyclists on the road, 'Run 'em down.’ Really? Big mistake, Tony.” Last month, Kornheiser was suspended by ESPN for two weeks for comments he made about the appearance of fellow ESPN host Hannah Storm. The National TV Board is the first to start talking about Kornheiser, here at Radio-Info.
