Larry Elder returns to Citadel's KABC, Los Angeles (790)
Self-described libertarian talk personality Elder replaces the departing Frosty, Heidi & Frank as of Monday, per the announcement made today on the Sean Hannity show. Elder previously did afternoons before he was cut in 2008. This time he’s holding down 9a-noon, following Peter Tilden and Teresa Strasser. KABC PD Jack Silver explains to the Orange County Register that in looking for a new late morning show, “you could try another experimental show [like Frosty, Heidi & Frank] or you could find someone who had the market equity, the ratings, the awareness, and you can right the wrong that occurred” in December 2008. Elder says it was a simple matter: “I was called and asked if I was interested and I was, and we got together.” Plenty of talk going on at the Los Angeles Board of Radio-Info.com, here.
