L.A.’s news/talk KFWB (980) goes into a trust, under new GM Valerie Blackburn
Nine years after CBS first needed to formally move KFWB out of the cluster, because it bought a second TV station in L.A., KFWB is formally placed into a trust. Former Shamrock executive Bill Clark is the trustee, through Clark Radio LLC. To oversee the license, he has recruited veteran Diane Sutter, and Valerie Blackburn will serve as the GM. There remains a connection, however: Valerie Blackburn is the market controller for the six CBS Radio stations in Los Angeles. The L.A. Board at Radio-Info.com is interested in the KFWB situation, here.Previous and Next Stories
