Last.FM founders exit, as CBS searches for a new GM
London-based online music discovery service Last.FM is going through some changes, two years after it was acquired by CBS. As the three founding members depart – Felix Miller, Richard Jones, and Martin Stiksel, David Goodman, head of CBS Interactive Music Group, will take over management for now. CBS bought Last.FM for $280 million, and has recently taken steps to integrate it into the CBS realm. The three founders released a statement saying, “After two years running LAST.FM within CBS, we feel the time is right to begin the process of handing over the reins … It’s been a privilege working with the incredible team here in our London office.”
