Latest Ando Media online radio rankings keep Pandora at #1
For the month of August, pure-play Internet radio provider Pandora has risen again, along with CBS, Clear Channel and Citadel. But pure-play Slacker Radio, which made its debut in the top 20 rankings just the previous month, is basically flat in both rank (#7 in average active sessions) and actual number of Average Active Sessions (from about 19,600 to 20,600). However, Triton-owned Ando says that Slacker's number “Does not include mobile data.” Up at the top of the list is Pandora, and here is the trend back to April: 391,000 to 403,000 to 419,000 to about 448,000 in July, and now just over 486,000 for August. The #2 entitiy is the CBS Radio family that combines the terrestrial stations that stream with the CBS-run AOL Radio and Yahoo LaunchCast. CBS had about 150,000 Average Active Sessions in July and now 156,000 in August. #3 Clear Channel also shows month-to-month growth, up from about 114,000 to better than 122,000. #4 is Citadel, up from 38,000 to about 42,000. And #5 is once again Entercom, up from about 22,800 to 24,427.
