Latest July PPMs for NYC, L.A., Chicago and more
In New York City: AC "Lite" WLTW slips but holds first place, 6.6 to 6.6 to 6.0 since the May monthly PPMs. Its Clear Channel sister station rhythmic AC WKTU now ranks second, 4.9-5.1-5.1. A third Clear Channel station, CHR "Z100" WHTZ, is right behind, 5.0-5.0-4.9. The shares are total-week age 6+ average quarter hour share.
Los Angeles: CHR "Kiss FM" KIIS-FM keeps a solid 5.4-5.4-5.4 string going, retaining the #1 spot. CHR rival "Amp 97.1" KAMP-FM rises 3.8-4.0-4.2, and it is now tied with classic hits "K-Earth" KRTH (4.0-4.0-4.2) in fourth place. Notable move for Rick Dees flagship "Hot 92.3" KHHT, up 3.0-3.0-3.5.
Chicago: In one of all-news WBBM-AM's last books as a standalone, it barely holds #1, 5.6-5.6-5.5. Urban AC "V103" WVAZ is second, 5.2-5.2-5.4. Hubbard's classic hits "Drive" WDRV has a spectacular rise, 4.-4.0-4.8, and is now in fourth place, behind Tribune's talk WGN, 5.0-5.0-5.1.
