Lexington, North Carolina's WLXN (1440) drops talk for oldies
Out are the syndicated Laura Ingraham, Fox's Kilmeade & Friends and Dennis Miller, and in are the Doobie Brothers, The Emotions and Fleetwood Mac. WLXN-AM (1440), which broadcasts in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem market, officially dropped conservative talk for oldies music Monday morning. In addition, Davidson County Broadcasting will also have its new "Kool" on the FM dial, using translator W260BG at 99.9 FM. The website is still in the process of changing over to oldies, but you can listen to "Kool 1440" here. The Raleigh-Greensboro Board of Radio-Info.com has been talking about WLXN's options since last Summer, and the latest discussion is here.
