Lineup Changes At Cleveland's WMJI, WGAR
The Cleveland Board of Radio-Info.com is talking these moves, here.
Two of Clear Channel's Cleveland stations have added air personalities. Mark Nolan will join AC WMJI (Majic 105.7) for middays, effective Feb. 6. At sister country station WGAR, Shotgun Taylor (a.k.a. station PD Charley Connolly) moves from evenings to afternoons, and Kat Jackson replaces him in nights.
Both Nolan and Taylor/Connolly replace market legend Chuck Collier, who passed away on September 22, 2011. Collier spent nearly 40 years on the air in Cleveland.
Nolan, a long-time television personality, has been guest hosting on WMJI since 1995, and for nearly seven years his weather forecasts were broadcast during the Lanigan & Malone Morning Show. He has worked in a variety of positions, both on-air and in production, with gigs throughout Ohio at WNIR and WKDD in Akron and WZKL in Canton. Nolan also spent 18 years on-air at NBC Affiliate WKYC-TV.
Taylor/Connolly had been temporarily hosting the afternoon show since Collier's death, and now assumes that role permanently. He joined the station in 2010. Jackson is a familiar WGAR personality and returns to the programming line-up from 7 p.m. to midnight. She previously spent several years working with country stations in Cleveland and Washington, D.C.
