Live Nation and CBS Radio to produce "exclusive radio events" together
CBS stations have done marketing partnerships with the world’s largest-event promoter in the past, and Live Nation CEO of Global Music Jason Garner says “this deal deepens that relationship while increasing the utilization of our live entertainment venues in a risk-averse manner.” Neither side offers any immediate examples of the new partnership, but both Garner and CBS Radio Dan Mason see advantages. For Live Nation, there will be “new live concerts and experiential events.” For CBS Radio, it creates new events and new revenue. Mason says that with Live Nation’s “national platform of venues and their team of talented promoters and marketers”, CBS can “expand the breadth of radio shows we offer on-site, on-air and online.” Read the CBS Radio release here.
