Liz Aiello, VP programming at Merlin Media-NY, has left, along with 2 others
Radio-Info.com Update: Vice President of Production Jerry Rohira and Senior Director of Digital Programming Rich McLaughlin have also left the company. McLaughlin is reachable at RichardcMcLaughlin@gmail.com.
Liz Aiello had experience in TV news at WABC-TV as managing editor/executive producer and she had been news director for the Howard Stern channel on Sirius. She had also been general manager of radio for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. But Aiello had not been at an all-news radio station before WEMP signed on last Summer as "FM News 101.9." Radio-Info.com hears that Aiello left the Hudson Street studios yesterday (2/2). On the air, WEMP has been making a few changes. It has added short-forms by radio/TV commentator and comedian Lionel. And starting March 6, both it and Chicago sister WIQI (101.1) will add "Clark Howard Minutes" from Dial Globla, from the man known as "America's Money Coach." The New York Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about Merlin, here.
