Long-hidden radio stories are coming out in TRI's "No Names, Please"

The new feature at Radio-Info’s TRI newsletter offers radio pros past and present the chance to share stories that may be too hot or too identifiable when told with the actual names and call letters. Today’s story comes from a current top-10 market PD who swears it’s true, from somewhere back in the 1970s – “The request line was an illegal tap off a payphone in the hallway outside my office. Yes, it rang all the time, driving me crazy. And if it didn’t ring, the owner came down to see me, angry that we weren’t getting request line calls.” In upcoming issues of TRI: A true story about a staffer who shot out the lights – on the tower – and a hijacked holiday party that turned into a wedding reception for the GM. “No Names, Please” is part of the daily no-charge TRI Newsletter.
