Looks like “Louie” will return to Louisville
Last week, Radio-Info.com reported that Louisville area WWPW (104.3), licensed to Charlestown, IN., went dark after Radio Multi-Media lost its LMA of the signal, on which it was airing an urban format named “The Beat.” Now, station owner Way Media has struck a deal with a new leaser, which is expected to debut a variety hits format on the signal, bringing back the name “Louie." Clear Channel previously operated a format named "Louie" on its 100.5 signal from 2005 – 2009. Way Media has also applied for the call letters WLUE while several domain names (1043LUE.com, WLUE104.3com, and Louie1043.com) have all been registered online.
