Mac Daniels Exits Clear Channel’s Austin, Texas, Stations
In a surprising move, longtime Clear Channel’s Austin, Texas, OM Mac Daniels has exited the company, where his duties included programming country stations KASE and KVET. The change comes a day after both KASE and KVET were nominated for station of the year in the Country Music Assn.’s broadcast awards. KVET’s morning team also landed a nomination. Daniels, a veteran broadcaster whose resume includes programming WMZQ Washington, D.C., can be reached at macatmcg@aol.com. Radio-Info.com’s San Antonio/Austin discussion board is buzzing about the change here.
