Major Trendz Entertainment to Launch Urban Radio Network

Jonesey Last week, Major Trendz Entertainment Corporation announced it would be getting into the radio syndication game with Miss Jones, who was recently let go from Clear Channel’s WUSL “Power 99” Philadelphia, amidst several lawsuits brought against the morning diva and the company. Now, Major Trendz Entertainment says it will launch a full-time satellite radio network as well called On-Air Radio Networks. The “Jonesy in the Morning Show” and the new network will begin airing on January 9, 2012, online at MissJonesradio.Net and at On-AirRadio.com. The network plans to hold a talent search for “top 10 market talent,” to audition for the weekday time slots. Interested parties can send their air checks to Programming@On-AirRadio.com. The group says it’s also “currently seeking a flagship station in the New York market.” (All four urban stations already have morning shows in place - Clear Channel’s WWPR “Power 105.1” has the Breakfast Club, Steve Harvey is heard on WBLS, the Tom Joyner Show was added to Emmis Urban AC WRKS “Kiss FM” less than a year ago, and co-owned WQHT “Hot 97” - which fired Jonesy from mornings in 2008 - has a successful show with the Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg Show.)
