Making Moves: Friday Afternoon

New York City's newest station - Pulse 87 (WNYZ-FM) - is making moves. They'll be adding 2 new DJ's on Monday, and CEO Alex Shvarts tells Radio-Info, "They'll be pretty significant names in the NY market." Shvarts also hinted, "There's more big news coming in the following week." Will Pulse be Arbitron rated? ... Afternoon drive host Steve West has left the building at Wilmington, Delaware's WJBR-FM (99.5), where Mike Summers was recently named PD ... Tim Staskiewicz has left WHJJ-AM (920) in Providence, Rhode Island. He's relocated to Washington, DC and WASH-FM (97.1) ... In Toledo, Ohio, Aaron Roberts has resigned as PD of WIOT-FM (104.7) effective March 7. Clear Channel Toledo OM Bill Michaels tells Radio-Info he will takes over the direct programming chores for WIOT, but he's also looking for a PD for his Top 40 WVKS-FM (92.5).
