John Thayer is the new sports director for Chadrad Communications KCSR-AM (610) & KBPY-FM (107.7) in Chadron, Nebraska ... Nashville's Sports WPRT-FM (102.5) "The Game" will add Willy Daunic for afternoons, starting November 7. Daunic left crosstown rival WGFX-FM (104.5) "The Zone" after the Cumulus-Citadel merger was finalized ... Chris Roth joins Frederick, Maryland's Country WFRE-FM (99.9) for middays. He will be burning a lot of miles along I-270, as he's also the evening traffic reporter for Washington's all-news WTOP-FM (103.5) ... In Portage, Wisconsin, WPDR-AM (1350) has dropped news/talk for oldies. The format flip comes after the sale of WPDR to Magnum Radio Group was finalized ... Sharon Dastur, PD of WHTZ "Z100" New York, will be honored at this year's Billboard's Women In Music series, on Dec. 2, alongside country singer and songwriter Taylor Swift.
