Making Moves: Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend
Atlanta's WYAY-FM (106.7) is going live-and-local in middays with Kristen Charles, replacing Scott Shannon, who creates "True Oldies" from New York ... Also in "Hot-lanta," Rachel Logan posts on her Facebook page that she's joining WSTR-FM "Star" (94.1) for weekends and some swing shifts ... Radio-Info speaks to Glenn Kalina on the Jersey Shore. He is moving from afternoons to mornings and becomes PD of Manahawkin, New Jersey's WJRZ-FM (100.1), replacing Jeff Rafter. Jeff remains with sister-station WMGQ-FM, New Brunswick (98.3) as PD. Replacing Kalina in afternoons at WJRZ is Tommy Jordan ... Consultant Jack Taddeo will take over as GM on an interim basis for Entercom's four-station cluster in Norfolk, Virginia, overseeing WNVZ-FM (104.5), WWDE-FM (101.3), WVLK-FM (95.7) & WPTE-FM (94.9) ... It's back to "Sunny" for Stacy McKay. Radio-Info has learned that the former morning co-host who left in 2007 after 12 years to be a stay-at-home mom is heading back to Saga's A/C WSNY-FM (94.7) in Columbus, Ohio for mornings, joining Dino Tripodis ... Edinboro, Pennsylvania's country WXTA-FM (97.9) is dropping the syndicated Big D & Bubba for "Scrubs in the Morning," which comes in from Citadel sister-station WTNR-FM (94.5) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You can listen to "Country 98" here ... Virginia's Max Media's President Eric Mastel is no longer with the Hampton Roads group, replaced by former Saga Communications Virginia GM Dave Paulus, who will oversee their five stations, says VARTV ... Former Corpus Christi, Texas KEYS-AM (1440) talk host Blake Farenthold won his electoral recount and will represent the 27th District of Texas in Congress ... A change in plans for longtime Albany, New York WGY-AM/FM (810/103.1) host Don Weeks, who will still retire after 30 years on the New York State capital city talker. His last show will now be December 3, due to some health issues.
