Harvey Wells is exiting Chicago-based Newsweb Radio in February, when his contract is up. He was the VP and group station manager of the company – which runs Classic Hits WKIF (92.7) Kanakee, IL and the Windy City’s progressive talker WCPT (820). Harvey is also well known for his years in Chicago radio running WXRT (93.1) … Clear Channel Urban WMIB Miami hires Keith Curry as APD. He’ll also serve as APD for the entire cluster in Miami. He was last PD at the company’s top 40 WDKS Evansville, Indiana …Lincoln, Nebraska’s KFGE-FM “Froggy” (98.1) brings back Gary Greenwood for mornings, starting in early January. Radio-Info’s Phyllis Stark says a search for a co-host is currently underway … KPKX-FM (98.7) “The Peak” in Phoenix brings in the former KMXP-FM (96.9) duo of Chris Parker & Amy Van Dyken for morning drive, starting today … Also in Phoenix, Catholic radio enters the market as Sacramento-based Immaculate Heart Radio will be carried by KIHP-AM (1310) … In Richmond, VA, VARTV reports Jen Towner is exiting her role as co-host on Hot AC WMXB “Mix 103.7” and will be doing independent voice work for hire.
