More stations flip to all-Christmas - countryKHGE-FM (102.7) in Fresno, Calif., switches to country Christmas music, to apparently become the first California station to play holiday music. Townsquare-owned WBZZ-FM (105.7) "The Buzz" in Albany, New York is now playing holiday songs ... Kansas City's KMBC-TV reports that despite rival KCKC-FM (102.1) "Star 102" already going all-Christmas, Entercom's KUDL-FM (98.1) which flipped Christmas last year, will wait until the day before Thanksgiving ... WWFA-FM (102.7) in Florence, Alabama adds the syndicated Elvis Duran for mornings ... Millennium's Trenton, New Jersey's WKXW-FM (101.5) PD Eric Johnson says the talk station's broadcast studio has been renamed the "Jim Gearhart Broadcasting Center", in honor of the "New Jersey 101.5" morning show host ... Mike Marino’s BitXchange from Envision Radio Networks adds WDDJ-FM "Electric" (96.9) in Paducah, Kentucky as its newest affiliate ... Longtime VOA and Washington-area radio voice Ed Gursky is sleeping in, starting this week. He'd been with Voice of America for 25 years, and with the FCC for six years before that.
