In Wichita, Kansas, Journal-owned classic country KFTI-AM (1070) adds one hour of the syndicated Clark Howard Show to mornings from 9-10am starting June 29 … Robert Going, who co-hosts a political show on Amsterdam, New York’s WCSS-AM (1490), will take a hiatus. He’s running for Alderman … With the jobless rate in Las Vegas at 11.3%, KSNE-FM (106.5) has taken to reading resumes on the air. More on the “Sunny 106.5” websiteKSCB-AM (1270) in Liberal is the newest affiliate for University of Kansas football and men’s basketball … Also on the sports front, the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga is leaving WGOW-FM (102.3). Starting next season, football & basketball games will be heard on WTZO-FM (105.1) … On the Jersey shore, Greater Media’s WRAT-FM (95.9) is looking for a local band to be the opening act for their annual “Ratfest 2009,” with the winner also getting station airplay … In Dallas, rock station KEGL-FM (97.1) launches “Loud And Local,” a new one-hour local-music hour every Monday night.
