Mandy Connell will take over late-mornings on Louisville's WHAS (840)
Connell moves to Clear Channel’s WHAS-AM from Ft. Myers, Florida, where she was the morning host on WINK/WNOG-AM (1240/1270) & WFSX-FM (92.5). WHAS Operations Manager Kelly Carls says, “We reviewed over 130 applications … Mandy really stood out for her energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to giving listeners an interesting, informative, and engaging radio program.” Connell, who will join the “84 WHAS” lineup during the week of March 29, replaces the late-Francene Cucinello, who died suddenly of a heart attack and aneurysm. She was only 43. The Kentucky Board of Radio-Info.com has been talking about the morning vacancy since late January.
