Maryland Adult Standards WTHU expected to flip with new owners
Sad news for the Adult standards fans of WTHU (1450) Thurman, MD., but good news for those who have been missing Christian music and content since the demise of WJTM Braddock Heights, four years ago.T hat station flipped when Maryland Public Radio bought that signal. At the time, the staff was let go, but the team continued the Christian format on the web at WTJM.org. Now that group, calling itself the Christian Radio Coalition, is buying WTHU for $150,000. If the sale is approved, they expect the Christian format to debut in June.
