May PPMs show NYC stays "Lite", and L.A. loves its "Kiss" – but also talk KFI
The Los Angeles May PPMs show Clear Channel CHR KIIS-FM on an up-curve over the last three months, 5.1-5.2-5.4 with age 6+ AQH shares. But check Clear Channel talker KFI - 4.3-4.5-4.9, now in second place. Another CHR is also rising, and that's CBS Radio's "Amp 97.1" KAMP-FM, gaining 3.3-3.5-3.8.
In New York, CC's AC "Lite" WLTW has moved 7.6-7.0-6.6 since the March book, but it's still ahead of #2 CHR "Z100" WHTZ (5.1-4.8-5.0). Z100 is part of a big scrum around the #2, #3 and #4 spots, with classic hits WCBS-FM tied with rhythmic AC WKTU at a 4.9 share. The New York Board of Radio-Info.com is sifting through the latest ratings, here.
In Chicago - CBS all-newser WBBM-AM pulls ahead to win, 5.6-5.2-5.6. Clear Channel's urban AC "V103" WVAZ moves 4.8-5.4-5.2. Tribune's WGN, the Cubs flagship, is third, 4.5-5.4-5.0.
