"Mayor" Pete Kennedy returns to Rochester on Clear Channel's WDVI
After nine months off the air, Pete Kennedy, “The Mayor,” returned to Rochester, N.Y., radio Jan. 4 as morning host of Clear Channel hot AC WDVI (100.5 The Drive). The broadcasting veteran previously spent 25 years in the market with CBS Radio’s WPXY and most recently, Entercom’s WBZA, which he exited in March. Kennedy will also remain a community fixture, hosting charity functions and events. Dave LeFrois, CC's Rochester OM, commented, “Pete’s experience, talent and energy, blended with the music that Drive listeners are so passionate about, will create an even better listening experience.” The station’s updated weekday lineup also includes local personalities JP Hastings in middays and Julie DePasquale in afternoon Drive.
